The Cardinals logo is pretty simple, with just a cardinal head featured. The current helmet is just as simple with the logo on both sides (bird looking towards the facemask) and completely painted white. The helmet has always been white throughout most of the teams history.
The cardinal wasn't added to the helmet until 1960 when the team moved from Chicago to St. Louis. The helmet remained the same after the Cards moved to Arizona in 1988. However, in 2005 the team updated their logo to make the bird look sleeker as prior, it was often mocked as being a parakeet.

Interesting concept for future Cardinals helmet from the guys at MGHelmets.com
